terra:soul: echoes from the future ancestors (pre-order)
In Terra:Soul, we honor the earth, the soil, the lands and natural bodies that we are.
The earth is being changed - how are our communities changing in the process? Who will tell the stories of who we and the earth once were? Who will sing the mourning songs? Where are these stories stored; in our bodies? In the soil? Between our teeth?
Throughout Terra:Soul, our collection of writers, artists, musicians, organizers, and cultural workers trace the many lineages, experiences of, and interventions into climate catastrophe and environmental degradation throughout Black, Indigenous, Queer, Trans, otherwise marginalized communities, honoring not only our resistance to these violences, but also our embodied relationships to the land and the balm of the worlds we create and imagine otherwise. Our work cuts across colonial borders — national, geographic, metaphoric, disciplinary — creating new geographies and languages of being by which we, as multi-marginalized peoples, can chart and repair the relationships between our communities, the land, and the world around us.
